Pop-Ups: Exhibitions & Studio
Art turns walls into temporary galleries – and empty company rooms into an oasis of creativity. MIXITART brings exhibitions and the mobile box island wherever space becomes available. Online, artworks find their place in our gallery, and music on our website and MIXITART Radio. Show us your artwork, share your music – or offer us a wall or a room.

An idea · Pop-up exhibitions
Your walls. Art for a while.
Spare walls are enough for a start. Our idea: temporary exhibitions by self-taught artists in companies, medical practices and other workplaces. Employees and visitors can discover art by passionate non-professional artists and purchase works.
We have walls of our own, too: on Soodstrasse in Adliswil, home to MIXITART, there are suitable surfaces. A first exhibition is planned for 12 December 2026.
Open your walls to art
Would you like to bring art into your workplace? Tell us about your wall space and who would be able to see the exhibition. Together, we can discuss what suits your venue.

For companies · For creative people
Your space. Our art. New encounters.
An unused room can be more than empty space. MIXITART brings self-taught artists and creative people together to paint, draw, sketch, experiment and exchange ideas. Community and mutual support are at the heart of it.
Creative work becomes visible in your company. Employees can encounter art, discover new perspectives and join in by arrangement. A creative breathing space in the working environment – not another office desk.
Your commitment becomes visible: with a pop-up, you show that your company opens vacant rooms for art and encounters – a story you are welcome to share.
Painting and drawing together bring people into conversation on equal terms – including people in transition, who get to know new companies this way. It is not a job placement service; it is an open encounter.
Easy to plan for your organisation: MIXITART is on site on a fixed Tuesday with one dedicated person – we agree the time window with you – and organises check-in and shared operation. We agree access, safety and responsibilities with the host company.
For a pop-up we are looking for spaces for at least one month. We agree on individual days of use together. We are looking for spaces available free of charge or at a low rent, leaving more for creative work.
MIXIT · In the same room
One pop-up, three perspectives.
A pop-up lives from different people sharing the same room. MIXITART is on site on agreed days with a fixed person – for the host company, for its employees and for our members.
The host company
It provides the room and makes creative pauses possible for its employees through an agreed quota of hours. Taking part remains voluntary.
The employees
They spend one hour from the quota creating – for example over lunch or in the afternoon. We agree on the scope of materials with the company.
The members
They work in the same room at agreed times and bring their own projects. This creates room for voluntary exchange – with no obligation to guide or demonstrate.
The company makes creative pauses possible for its employees and thus helps sustain a shared space for encounters and artistic work.
We agree the hour quota, times and conditions individually with each company.
An idea · The mobile box island
An art space that travels with us.
Stackable multifunctional boxes become seats, worktables and storage. The idea: a mobile art island that adapts to the space. Set up, not built in – we take the furniture away again at the end.

Sit & create
Work close to the floor with materials within reach. The larger box has a fold-out wooden surface as a small worktable.
Stack & store
Individual boxes become compact storage. Materials stay organised; open space can be used for conversation and working together.
Bring in & take away
No drilling, no permanent fittings. The mobile furniture arrives for the Pop-up and leaves with us afterwards.
Which boxes we use, and how many, depends on the space and its use. The colour variations illustrate the idea, not a promised setup.
Space requirements
Room for art. Light to work by.
Approx. 50–55 m²
Room for movable workstations and a shared open area. We are happy to consider smaller or larger spaces too.
Natural daylight is essential
Windows and good natural daylight are a requirement. Artificial lighting alone is not enough.
Quiet, not a thoroughfare
A space as quiet as possible, with room for both focused work and conversation.
At least one month
So artists can stay with a piece of work longer, we plan every pop-up over at least one month.
An easy-to-clean floor, nearby water and electricity are helpful. Before using the space, we agree in writing on access, floor protection, cleaning, material storage, insurance and costs.
Make it happen together
From an available space to the first Pop-up.
01
Show us your space
Send us the location, approximate size, photos showing the windows and the possible timeframe. An initial idea is enough.
02
Agree together
We visit the space and discuss what use suits your premises. We record the duration, access arrangements and responsibilities.
03
Bring it to life with art
Once everything is agreed, we invite people to create. The box island is set up and taken down again after the Pop-up.
Music · For musicians
Your music. New listeners. New connections.
MIXITART supports musicians too. For us, images and sounds belong together – they connect people and creative ideas.
Send us a Spotify link to your song, album or playlist. Tell us whether you are suggesting music for the radio or would like a website contribution. MIXITART reviews your submission and gets in touch.
The music must already be on Spotify. Members and non-members can submit.
